| The relationship
between staff and students at Boston House College is one
of the cornerstones of our success. Professionalism, trust
and mutual respect are hallmarks of our approach. Our teachers
love teaching and provide students with a supportive learning
environment. Staff members are carefully selected with particular
consideration given to their experience, values and ability
to cater for the individual needs of students.

Elsabe Odendal
Grade Head, Tourism and Physiology
I find Boston House a liberating environment, as students
and educators are allowed to express their views without
discrimination. My goal is to provide a positive learning
environment, to inspire the students I teach, and to remain
passionate about teaching.
God and sport play a big role in my life. I love running
and cycling. I am involved in a basketball outreach programme
to children and young adults through my church.

that are built, and for the opportunity to make a difference

system allows more time for teaching. Rules and administration
are kept to a minimum.
When asked to describe herself, Nazima replies, "Someone
who puts obstacles aside and enjoys life"
Emmie Pretorius

to each student that makes Boston House special. Her education
philosophy is to "teach with love". Emmie really

enjoy literature.

Boston House is by nature a creative environment, and I
enjoy the freedom of expression. I find the students open
and talented. I am interested in how people learn, and how
they respond in different contexts. Teaching is not about
me, but rather about facilitating growth.
In my free time I enjoy the outdoors and camping with my
husband and son. Some of our favourite places are Lesotho
and the Wild Coast.
